Courtenay Cleary
Violin
Dr Courtenay Cleary is a graduate of The Juilliard School in New York where she completed her Master of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music in London where she attained her Bachelor of Music with first class honours. She completed her PhD in contemporary performance and recording, which saw the premiere of three original works for violin by Australian composers Stephen Chin, Connor D’Netto, and Dr Chris Perren. Courtenay has performed as a soloist for HM Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. She was recently named one of Queensland’s 40 Under 40 for 2024 for her significant contributions to music education, artistic research, and the performing arts.

Emily Granger
Harp
Principal harp with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, American-Australian harpist Emily Granger performs widely as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. She’s appeared with leading ensembles including the Chicago, Sydney, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera Australia Orchestra and at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Sydney Opera House and UKARIA Cultural Centre. A graduate of Indiana University and the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Emily has released numerous critically acclaimed albums on AVIE and ABC Classic and is a regular collaborator with Australia’s top chamber groups and festivals.

Claire Edwardes
Percussion
Claire Edwardes OAM is Australia's ‘sorceress of percussion’ (City News, Canberra) and the only Australian to win the 'APRA Art Music Luminary Award’ four times. A charismatic percussion virtuosi, Claire leaps between her role as Ensemble Offspring’s Artistic Director (Australia’s leading new music ensemble), solo recitals and concerto performances with all of the Australian symphony orchestras including recent premieres of works by Anne Cawrse, Natalie Williams and Iain Grandage. In 2022 Claire was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her indelible contribution to Australian music and in 2023 she was the recipient of the Australian Women in Music Award for Creative Leadership.

Karin Schaupp

Karin Schaupp’s playing has been hailed by the German press as “so perfect, so complete, that it seems like a miracle”. As one of Australia’s leading instrumentalists she is sought after internationally as recitalist, soloist and festival guest, making countless TV and radio appearances. Her 20+ albums include solo, chamber and orchestral projects, winning various awards, including two ARIA’s. She continues to champion Australian music with monthly new releases. Performance highlights include soloist with London Philharmonic Orchestra, Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony, and two national tours for Musica Viva Australia’s International Series. Karin is Head of Classical Guitar & Harp at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University.
